"Half the World", "The Color of Right", "Virtuality" and "Carve Away the Stone" are average Rush songs at best and I find myself skipping over these when I listen to this album. Overall, "Test for Echo" was a disappointment for me, as I thought the previous album "Counterparts" was one of their strongest albums in a long time and my hopes were /5().

About Test For Echo. Test for Echo is the band’s 16th studio album. It was recorded from January-March at the legendary Bearsville Studios in New York state (now defunct) and at Reaction Studios (also defunct) in Toronto in April The band returned after nearly a two-year hiatus with a power and ferocity that rivals some of their earliest material.

Test for Echo is the sixteenth studio album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released on 10 September on Anthem Records. It is the final Rush work before the tragic events in Neil Peart's life that put the band on hiatus until the recording of Vapor Trails in January It is also the final Rush album co-produced by Peter : Hard rock, progressive rock.
